Two unknown individuals assaulted a 56-year-old woman in Paphos and stole her bag, which contained €600, it was reported on Friday.
The incident took place at the village of Tremithousa just after midnight. The woman, a British national who owns a restaurant that is also located in the community, was about to open the front door to her house when she was assaulted by two men wearing carnival masks.
The thieves managed to snatch her bag and flee the scene.
The 56-year-old reported the case to police shortly afterwards. Officers visited the scene in a bid to find clues that would lead them to the perpetrators.
